As a technical lead of data engineering operations, you are responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of data engineers, ensuring the seamless execution of data infrastructure and pipeline tasks.

This role bridges the gap between higher-level strategy and hands-on technical implementation, requiring a combination of technical expertise, team leadership, and operational management.

You'll use your experience to work closely with our data engineers and data architect to ensure that our setup is maintainable, scalable and in line with increasing business needs.

• Ensure the team uses appropriate technologies, methodologies, and best practices in their data engineering tasks.

• Guide, mentor, and support team members in their technical growth and challenges.

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects, and allocate resources appropriately.

• Evaluate and approve architectural and design decisions to ensure they align with business needs and technical standards.

• Act as the point of contact between the data engineering team and other teams or stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.

• Ensure data quality, pipeline reliability, and adherence to standards and best practices.

• Identify opportunities for operational enhancements, process optimizations, and technological upgrades.

Must-have:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience

• Hands-on experience with software and architectural design
‍
• Proficient in Python and SQL (DBT)

• Relevant cloud experience (Azure preferred)

• Experience with delta lake, database assets

• Experience with data modelling techniques

• Experience with container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, ...)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with Databricks

• Platform-oriented mindset

• Fluent in English, French is a plus

• Passionate about data
